Sophisticated

A lot of people confuse the word “Sophisticated” with words like “Classy” or “Elegant”. Think about when somebody is eating a 5 star dinner or tasting an expensive wine; a common term heard would be a reference to a “sophisticated palet” or sometimes lack of one. Sophistication is having the training and experience to identify and appreciate quality. That’s pretty much it. A sophisticated woman is one that can tell the difference between an expensive vintage wine and a ten dollar bottle of “lets get drunk”.She can tell the difference between a meal prepared by a world class chef and the special from Mac Donalds. etc. A person can be said to have a sophisticated eye, ear, nose etc. All referring to the ability to use the senses to spot and appreciate a thing of high quality over the more mundane
